  • Account information (once our store opens): details you provide if you create an account or subscription, such as your preferences and order history.
  • Feedback and surveys: answers you choose to give us, for example about your child's sport or flavour preferences.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.

Information from third parties

We may receive information about you from service providers that help us run our business, such as payment processors (for example, confirmation that a payment succeeded), delivery partners (for example, delivery status), and advertising platforms (for example, aggregated campaign results).

2. How we use your information

  • To tell you when Strivo launches and to send you news, offers and updates you have asked for.
  • To process, fulfil and deliver your orders and subscriptions, and to manage returns and refunds.
  • To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
  • To run, secure and improve our Site and products, including preventing fraud and abuse.
  • To understand how people use our Site and measure the performance of our marketing.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, including tax, accounting and food supplement record keeping.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.

3. Our lawful bases

We only use your personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so:

  • Consent: for marketing emails, including our waitlist, and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract: to process and deliver orders and manage your account.
  • Legitimate interests: to run, secure and improve our business and Site, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep or share information to comply with the law.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. Our coming soon page does not set its own advertising or analytics cookies. Once our store opens, we and our partners may use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies that make the store work, such as your basket and checkout. These do not need consent.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies (for example from Google or Meta) that help us understand site usage and show you relevant ads. We will only use these with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through our cookie banner.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions, including:

  • Website hosting and forms: Netlify, which hosts this Site and stores waitlist sign ups.
  • Email and productivity: Google Workspace, which we use for business email.
  • Fonts: Google Fonts, which loads the typefaces on our Site and may receive your IP address when it does.
  • Ecommerce and payments (once our store opens): our store platform (for example Shopify) and payment processors.
  • Email marketing (once our store opens): our email platform (for example Klaviyo).
  • Fulfilment and delivery: our warehouse and courier partners, who need your name and address to deliver orders.
  • Advertising and analytics: platforms such as Meta and Google, where you have consented to the relevant cookies.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: our accountants, lawyers and insurers, and regulators, law enforcement or courts where the law requires it.
  • Business transfers: a buyer or investor if we sell or reorganise all or part of our business, subject to this policy.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal information outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner's Office.

7. Children's data

Strivo is made for children, but our Site and Services are intended for parents, carers and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Where a parent tells us about their child (for example, their age or sport in a survey), we use that information only to improve our products and recommendations, and we keep it to the minimum we need.

8. How long we keep your information

  • Waitlist and marketing: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or for up to 24 months after you last engaged with us.
  • Orders and transactions: for 6 years after the end of the financial year in which they took place, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
  • Customer service messages: for up to 24 months after the matter is resolved.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on the systems we use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
  • ask for a copy of your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email us at hello@teamstrivo.com. We will respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity before we act on your request.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when our store opens or when we start using new service providers. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email where appropriate.
